My First Week in a London Area

Image
Wow my first week in a London area was quite crazy. It was very busy and I saw quite a few crazy things but it was loads of fun. Stratford is a great place and I am loving it already!   Tuesday (May 21): Transfer day! Nice thing is we drove my bags into London but it definitely did take a lot of time and patience as driving usually does here in London. We had a short devotional and had Subway for lunch and then me and my new companion traveled to Stratford our area. Wow this place is the absolute bomb! It only took about 30 minutes to get from the mission office to our flat. We then went out to get some food that we will need for the week and I also spent a bit of time getting unpacked. We are so ready to hit the ground running tomorrow. Me and my companion Elder Wood Wednesday: Oh boy such a fun day. We had our first district meeting and it was my first time to be the one leading that. I think I did ok. We then went out to get lunch together as a district. It was really great...

I'm Headed to a New Area

Last week of the transfer! And some crazy things went on. Plus transfer news on Sunday so it was exciting. What a gonna happen to me??? Guess you'll find out.   Tuesday (May 15): Well today was pretty wild. Elder Cavalcante had a doctor's appointment in London. Not only that but it was in central London. Boy what an experience that was driving in London. I will never ever complain about traffic again in my life.  Driving through London. It was like being a taxi driver in New York!  That whole ordeal took a large chunk of our day with lots of driving time. By the time we got back into our area we headed to a DA and it was lots of fun. This family is awesome and we always enjoy being with them.   Wednesday: Thankfully today was much more chill than having to drive in London. There was district meeting in the morning, and it had potential to be our last one because most likely at least one of us will move. We ended up teaching a lesson today and it was alright. It...

Rain and More Rain

This week felt like it just flew by it was insane. Not too bad things are alright. I'm still just waiting on a week with solid weather the whole week rather than just one good day and rain the rest of the week. Tuesday (May 7): I had a pretty great day today. Had interviews in Orpington and we got there about 11:30. Had a bit of opening exercises like a prayer and a song. Then we had a meeting as a zone for an hour. After that we ate lunch and had a fun training where we played scripture jeopardy. And we had our interviews with President and Sister Checketts. They went great. By the time all was said and done it was about 6 o clock and we didn't really have time to go to our area so we just headed home and ate some dinner.   Wednesday: Today was a pretty good day. We had a usual morning routine. Traveled to Maidstone and did a bit of finding as well as ate lunch. There's also a certain less active family that bishop asked us specifically if we could visit and reteach all th...

One of my Favourite Families

Well the week started out pretty boring. But it was still a good one. It's hard to have a bad week when you're always happy and having fun!   Tuesday (April 30): So basically my companion was sick with a bad fever today. We called Sister Checketts and she wanted him to stay in, so that's what we did stayed in the flat all day. I nearly died of boredom but that's alright. Wednesday: Started the day out with district meeting. My companion is feeling a little bit better so that was good. District meeting was great as always and then we traveled into Maidstone. Got some lunch, did our comp study, and hit the streets. Later we also stopped by a couple less actives and one of them was very friendly and wanted to invite us over for dinner some time. Bonus!   Thursday: Today was pretty decent. Did a usual bit of finding in the morning and then we grabbed a quick lunch and headed to the chapel to study. Spent a little bit of time stopping by a couple less actives that bishop wan...
