One of my Favourite Families
Well the week started out pretty boring. But it was still a good one. It's hard to have a bad week when you're always happy and having fun!
Tuesday (April 30): So basically my companion was sick with a bad fever today. We called Sister Checketts and she wanted him to stay in, so that's what we did stayed in the flat all day. I nearly died of boredom but that's alright.
Wednesday: Started the day out with district meeting. My companion is feeling a little bit better so that was good. District meeting was great as always and then we traveled into Maidstone. Got some lunch, did our comp study, and hit the streets. Later we also stopped by a couple less actives and one of them was very friendly and wanted to invite us over for dinner some time. Bonus!
Thursday: Today was pretty decent. Did a usual bit of finding in the morning and then we grabbed a quick lunch and headed to the chapel to study. Spent a little bit of time stopping by a couple less actives that bishop wanted us to visit, and then we went to our dinner appointment. Funny story the lady who was feeding us forgot and got the days mixed up. So we just talked with her and shared a spiritual thought and then we went and grabbed Subway for dinner 😂 Then we went home for the night.
Friday: Zone Leader exchange! This morning we drove to Welling to have our exchanges with the zone leaders and it was awesome. I was with Elder Hogg for the day. We spent our time doing a little bit of everything: finding, teaching, visiting members both active and less active, and also a dinner appointment. It was a full day. And tonight we had all 8 guys in the same flat again so we had a blast. It was an all around good day to say the least.
Saturday: Well we had to get up today and run off just a few short hours of sleep and somehow we managed. Went back to our area and got back to work. It was a casual Saturday, not all too great, but not too bad either. We did get KFC for lunch which was good I haven't had that in a while. Then tonight at 8 o clock we had a mission call since we are all doing a 24 hour fast so that call was to pray and start our fast all together. Last time we did a 24 hour fast it was tough so here we go round 2!
Sunday: Church today was alright, the whole day was a bit rough with the 24 hour fast, it's a monster! Especially when you spend that time working and doing things rather than just chilling at home relaxing or taking a nap, it makes it way more challenging actually working. Needless to say I was pretty low on energy but I survived and made it through again. Then tonight at 8 when we had our mission call to pray and break the fast, as soon as the prayer was over I grabbed anything I could eat and just started feasting. It was very wonderful!
The first week of May is almost gone and we are coming up towards summer and I'm very excited and hope to have some good weather. Hopefully England will provide sometime soon. That's all from me this week, I appreciate you guys you're all wonderful.
Love,
Elder Orchard
