Miracles Flooding In

Image
The Elders want to quarantine me because of my sickness. It was a week full of some great miracles and some rough struggles as well. My comp got sick at the beginning of the week, then the other 2 Elders in the flat got sick as well. And by Saturday afternoon I caught the bug. So now all 4 of us are sick haha. It made for a challenging past couple of days in terms of energy and strength, but also we had some great lessons this week so we got the best of both worlds.   Tuesday (Feb 18): Today we had our district meeting, ate some lunch, then went out to do a bit of finding. We had a lesson in the evening as well with a lady from Portugal and she accepted a date for baptism! So let's go it was a sick lesson. We just spent the rest of the evening contacting before heading home for dinner.   Wednesday: Today was very similar to yesterday. We had a district meeting from the zone in the morning, and one of the sisters actually made cinnamon rolls so those we just absolutely ...

One Peaceful NIght in the Flat

Another week has come and gone. Lots of things going on again this week. But now we are already half way through the transfer, so only 3 more weeks left until I have to move. I don't remember a whole lot about everything but here's what I do remember:   Tuesday (Feb 11): We had zone conference today, and about half of the things that were talked about and trained on at zone conference, were things that happened at MLC last week so it was a bit boring, but still pretty cool. They made a super good pasta for lunch that was like Alfredo, so that was awesome. After zone conference we had a lesson with our recent convert about free agency and how we can follow the spirit to make correct choices, it was a pretty cool lesson, then we just headed home for the night.   Wednesday: It was a full day of finding, teaching a lesson, and organizing things for the zone. And in the evening we had the usual gospel principles class with whoever wanted to come. Not too much details about today be...

You Can Feel the Spirit In Any Language

Image
Yet another extremely busy week, as I look back and think about it I feel like all the events and everything that happened are just blurred into 2 days. Crazy how time works.   Tuesday (Feb 4): Started out with our district meeting, followed up by lunch, and then hitting the streets for some finding. After a few hours we came back to the church because we needed to organize and plan some things for our interviews on Thursday, since we are in charge of taking up half of the time while President pulls out individuals to interview them. It took a bit of time but we finally got it all planned out. Then we had a lesson with a lady from Brazil who my companion found, and she only speaks Portuguese so he taught the whole lessons and I was pretty much just there haha. But it was cool just to observe an entire lesson, you can still feel the spirit in any language. :)   Wednesday: A solid day spent in Hyde Park for MLC. We had a lot of different trainings and discussions, mostly foc...

The TEMPLE!!

Image
It was one of the busiest weeks I've had in a while, it makes the time go so quick. But the week definitely finished off super amazing because we went to the temple!   Tuesday (Feb 28): It was a pretty stressful and crazy first day of the transfer. In the morning we spent a lot of time cleaning up and reorganizing things to accommodate for 2 more Elders coming in. Then as we were going to head to the chapel all the trains in that direction were cancelled. So we had to make a quick change of plans to go the other direction towards Stratford because we needed to get something done over there at some point this week anyways, so we got there and did a little bit of finding and it felt good to be back in Stratford. It was wild too because I saw a lady get hit by a motorcycle. Finally we were able to head to our area and plan out some things for ourselves and for the zone this transfer. Then we taught a lesson to our friend who just got baptized to prepare her for the temple, and after...
