You Can Feel the Spirit In Any Language
Yet another extremely busy week, as I look back and think about it I feel like all the events and everything that happened are just blurred into 2 days. Crazy how time works.
Tuesday (Feb 4): Started out with our district meeting, followed up by lunch, and then hitting the streets for some finding. After a few hours we came back to the church because we needed to organize and plan some things for our interviews on Thursday, since we are in charge of taking up half of the time while President pulls out individuals to interview them. It took a bit of time but we finally got it all planned out. Then we had a lesson with a lady from Brazil who my companion found, and she only speaks Portuguese so he taught the whole lessons and I was pretty much just there haha. But it was cool just to observe an entire lesson, you can still feel the spirit in any language. :)
Wednesday: A solid day spent in Hyde Park for MLC. We had a lot of different trainings and discussions, mostly focused on finding, teaching, baptizing, and making disciples. That's our goal and focus as a mission. When we finished up at MLC we tried to head back to our area to work for about 2 hours before we needed to go home but our train just changed it's destination in the middle of the journey and we couldn't get to where we wanted to go, so we just got off and went finding in a different area than ours and referred the people we found to the missionaries there 😂 then we were able to catch a bus back to our flat on time. It was pretty wild.
Thursday: Here we go with another meeting, this time is was interviews. It was pretty lame having interviews in the second week of the transfer but I enjoyed it and President confirmed what my initial thought was about the end of the transfer. I have been in this same zone for 7 transfers now, which means the last time I was in a different one was last year in May of 2019 haha. It's been a fun time. But President said to me "Do everything you can to help out the zone this transfer, because you are definitely leaving at the end of it." I was also able to pick his brain a little bit about the scriptures and some different questions I had so that was super fun as well. The rest of interviews was cool, and then after interviews we were able to come back luckily, did some finding, and then came home.
Friday: Yet another extremely busy day. We headed to a district meeting in the zone, grabbed lunch to eat on the train heading back, and went finding for a tiny bit. The weather was so good today and it made me super happy! Sun shining, cold but not too freezing, and just super calm. After finding we did a little bit of service for somebody who the sisters are teaching because he needed help rearranging his room and he can't do it on his own. So we helped out with that and then came to the church where we planned for our DLC meeting tomorrow and also had games night with a few members and friends.
Saturday: We had DLC meeting with all the district leaders in the zone today to talk about some things we needed to address, then had lunch, and followed the normal routine of going finding after lunch. We were there for about 2-3 hours and then we came back to contact people and confirm some of them to come to church. Then we tried to stop by a family we have worked a little bit with but they weren't home so that was sad, and we came home to have dinner.
Sunday: Today there were crazy winds. The AP's called us in the morning to see if our church was cancelled because apparently like 2 stakes in the mission cancelled church because of it. Luckily we still had church today but the whole day was definitely stormy. After church was a bit of contacting, and planning, and then we went to the Brazilian members home for lunch. It's always the best time of the week and the food is so good! After that we headed to the chapel to call some returning members and then we headed home from there to end the night.
The week was super busy and pretty crazy and it went extremely fast. I hope everyone is doing well and having lots of joy. Things are pretty good here, just really exhausting. It would be good to hear from some of you, so if you haven't emailed in a while don't be shy. Love y'all

It was a rough week in terms of pictures, so much going on there wasn't really time to stop and take a picture haha.
