Visiting With Real People In Person!


Here's to another week, and almost the end of June! Wow this week was sooo hot! It got up to 32 Celsius this week which is about 90 Fahrenheit. When you factor in the humidity and the fact that we don't have air conditioning, it makes things pretty dang hot! It was rough to sleep some nights haha but we survived. 

A highlight from this week was definitely the fact that we extended 2 baptismal dates that they both accepted! So that was honestly a huge miracle and the lessons where phenomenal! We also had exchanges with the zone leaders in person so it was cool to spend a few hours with others and we even got to play basketball for our exercise time and I was soooo happy about that because it has been forever since I played basketball!

Also, I beat my 4 mile record this week and finished it with a time of 28:01. So close to breaking the 27 minute mark! Another new thing that happened this week was I cooked steak for the first time ever and it turned out so good! A member bought us the steaks and I cooked them and they were just perfect 👌🏼

This week was full of meals with members outside too and that was so nice!! We had 2 in their backyards and 1 at a little park. We even had a BBQ at one of them and the food was delicious! It's amazing just to be able to visit with others in person and not have to only talk to them over video calls!

As we have been teaching lessons this week and doing my studying I have really been able to recognize just how much the Plan of Salvation, the Restoration, and the Gospel is all centered around Jesus Christ. Without him none of it would be possible. As you take the time to read anywhere in the scriptures or listen to any conference talks you will easily be able to recognize that everything good in this world is because of Him! My testimony has been strengthened about Christ during this lockdown and I know that he truly is our Savior and Redeemer!

He's Home!

There is nothing quite like that first hug in 2 years.  It is something you have to experience to completely understand.  I missed this boy so much.  Even though I got to video call with him weekly, there is nothing like being together, in person. Stockton's welcome home looked a lot different than we anticipated when he left.  Covid restrictions kept us from going inside the airport, we all wore masks and we didn't invite extended family.  But it didn't take the joy out of the moment we finally got to be with him!  It's a mom's (and a girlfriend's) dream come true. ♥️ We didn't get the best pictures because we were more concerned with video.  And, Mason was on picture duty.  He is still learning about angles and capturing that perfect moment! The Best Ending

What an amazing last week of my mission! There was a lot that went on this week but the most amazing thing of all was the fact that I was able to see 2 of our friends get baptized this weekend! You seriously could not even make up a better ending to my mission story than this. Julia and Lizzie, who we both taught because of the lockdown and the quarantine both made their first covenant with God this weekend and chose to be baptized. I can not express how full my heart is and how much gratitude I have for the blessings and for the goodness of God. I know that he is the one who prepared these precious souls and that we were just privileged to be an instrument in his hands to accomplish his will.   Well everyone, this is it. Tomorrow I will be flying home from my full time missionary service.
