Rain and More Rain
This week felt like it just flew by it was insane. Not too bad things are alright. I'm still just waiting on a week with solid weather the whole week rather than just one good day and rain the rest of the week.
Tuesday (May 7): I had a pretty great day today. Had interviews in Orpington and we got there about 11:30. Had a bit of opening exercises like a prayer and a song. Then we had a meeting as a zone for an hour. After that we ate lunch and had a fun training where we played scripture jeopardy. And we had our interviews with President and Sister Checketts. They went great. By the time all was said and done it was about 6 o clock and we didn't really have time to go to our area so we just headed home and ate some dinner.
Wednesday: Today was a pretty good day. We had a usual morning routine. Traveled to Maidstone and did a bit of finding as well as ate lunch. There's also a certain less active family that bishop asked us specifically if we could visit and reteach all the lessons to them. So we did that and they are super excited to learn again. We then traveled to our DA and had a delicious roast dinner.
Thursday: Oh boy I had a lot of fun today. I mean besides the fact that it rained on us the whole day. I thought it was supposed to be April Showers bring May flowers but I guess England just does it's own thing. Anyways, for youth tonight me and Elder Cavalcante organized a football tournament with young men and Elders quorum and we had to set up 4 times with 5 players each. So we had to get that all sorted and then we went and had a DA at bishops house then went to play in the football tournament. It was a blast, and I think everyone really enjoyed it!
Friday: Today was alright, it was a really boring day. We had no appointments to teach or visit anybody. Basically just a blank day. We tried doing finding in town but there weren't a lot of people because the weather was rubbish. Tried knocking some doors and nothing came out of that either. We had the usual studies, lunch, all that fancy stuff. And tonight I made grilled cheese and tomato soup for dinner. Actually it was my first time this transfer having that so I'm proud of myself.
Saturday: Not a bad day today. Started out pretty normal getting rained on in town. We had lunch and studied. We also stopped by a couple less active members, and had a DA tonight. We ate chicken, fries, and baked beans. Then had ice cream for dessert. It was great.
Sunday: What a great Sunday. Apparently, it was Aaronic Priesthood commemoration day so that was the theme for church. We sang in sacrament meeting with all the young men and their leaders. Also the best part of the day was the fact it was Mothers day in America so I got to talk to my momma for a little bit.
And we had a dinner appointment today where we ate lasagne which was super tasty. It was a wonderful day.
Happy late mothers day to all you mothers out there. Happy end of the school year to all you high schoolers out there. And happy middle of May to everyone else 😂 until next week!
