Service!

This week was really quite difficult and a little strange but that's alright. Here's the scoop: Tuesday (Feb 19): Today was really good. It was a sister in our districts birthday and it just so happened to be our district meeting as well. So we had a small celebration me and Elder Hori brought cake and he cooked stew for lunch for everyone. It was pretty fun!  Birthday party district meeting Then we traveled home and we wanted to work with and stop by a few less active members so that's what we tried to do but no one was home. Then we came back and studied and we made some tasty fried rice for dinner!   Wednesday: Man today was a downright struggle. I was feeling all pumped and energized this morning and ready for a killer day but then all our plans just started to wither away... We did a lot of street contacting and tracting today but literally nothing came from it. Then tonight we were going to have a lesson AND a dinner appointment but they both got canceled 😅 we ...

Breaking News: Calling Home

Tough week again, but it's still alright!  Tuesday (Feb 12): This morning we had to leave the flat at 8 to get to Woolwich by 10:30 for our exchange with the zone leaders. It's always a fun time on the train to London in the morning. I was on exchange with Elder Hogg again which was a blast. We had the car as well which makes things even more enjoyable. We did finding to start things off and I love finding in their area because it's a lot of black people and they are actually nice and willing to listen unlike the stuck up English folk. To end the day we did have to go to ward council though which is already boring enough in my own ward let alone at a different ward haha. I had lots of fun today, it's also nice to switch things up, it was also a party because we had 8 Elders in the flat that day haha. Good times! Wednesday: Wow what a crazy day, we had to leave the zone leaders flat early to get to district meeting and we got to ride with the zone leaders. I fell asl...

Staying Positive

Image
This week was pretty decent. Kinda tough, but there was also some good. It's just all about staying positive though!   Tuesday (Feb 5): Wow I was so sore and tired this morning because of basketball yesterday, and we had service planned with Brother Hobbs all day today so I was ready for some more great physical work. Man it was such a great time as always. Today we were able to help build a bit of a wall as well as take down some trees to clear up space in their back garden. The weather wasn't rainy so it held up nicely for us. We had some delicious sandwiches for lunch and bangers and mash for dinner. It was fantastic. Then when we got home we had our companionship study and Elder Hori's language study and called it a night! Wednesday: Woke up even more sore than yesterday aha. It's Gucci though because I love service and I know that when I'm feeling sore that I worked hard. Man today felt forever long, we just did finding, finding, and more finding. It was extrem...

Zone Conference

Image
Wow what an awesome and challenging week. I learned a lot and had some really good days and some really tough days. The best though was zone conference where a member of the 70 spoke to us. I shared some amazing quotes that he said while speaking at the end of this email, but you gotta read the whole email to know more! 😉 Tuesday (January 29): Well this morning we went out and did some finding and that was good, then we came back and had some lunch before Brother Hobbs picked us up to do some service since we won't be able to do Thursday this week because of zone conference. But brother Hobbs had to work later that night so we could only serve from 12-4. We made some calls using the area book and also did a bit of finding and then we just concluded the night with studies and made some enchiladas for dinner! Great day honestly. Wednesday: Oh boy today looked like it was going to be really great when we were making our plans in the morning. We had 3 lessons lined up almost back t...
