Visiting With Real People In Person!

Image
Here's to another week, and almost the end of June! Wow this week was sooo hot! It got up to 32 Celsius this week which is about 90 Fahrenheit. When you factor in the humidity and the fact that we don't have air conditioning, it makes things pretty dang hot! It was rough to sleep some nights haha but we survived.   A highlight from this week was definitely the fact that we extended 2 baptismal dates that they both accepted! So that was honestly a huge miracle and the lessons where phenomenal!  We also had exchanges with the zone leaders in person so it was cool to spend a few hours with others and we even got to play basketball for our exercise time and I was soooo happy about that because it has been forever since I played basketball!  Exchange with the zone leaders Also, I beat my 4 mile record this week and finished it with a time of 28:01. So close to breaking the 27 minute mark! Another new thing that happened this week was I cooked steak for the first ti...

20 🎉

Man I can't believe it's another week come and gone. Despite the fact that most days seem to be the same, I have gotten pretty used to it now and the time is just literally flying by. It was also my birthday yesterday so I'm now officially 20 which is also pretty sick! Anyways here are some of the highlights of the week I guess:   Tuesday we had some video call exchanges with the zone leaders for an hour, that was pretty cool. Wednesday was our district meeting over video call and that was decent as well. Hands down Thursday was one of the busiest days I've had during this lockdown. We had weekly planning in the morning, in the afternoon we had some things to organize, and then in the evening we literally had 4 lessons and a correlation meeting with some members in the ward. It was so busy! The rest of the week didn't really have anything too new to share about just average days in the life of a quarantine missionary.   BUT some super great news, we actually had...

Church Zoom

This week was another really good one. Basically the whole lockdown we have been having some amazing weather but this week it took a slight dip haha, it rained on most days this week and even one of the days it absolutely poured on us while we were out for our run! Makes for some good fun haha. But I'm still really happy and this week was another terrific week with many tender mercies from the Lord.   Getting Soaked So in terms of main events from this week, we had zone conference on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning we had "exchanges" with our district leader. The reason why it's "exchanges" is because we aren't allowed to gather with other missionaries so we each just had an hour long video call to talk about the work and to minister to each other basically. That was pretty good. Apart from those events this week didn't have much different than each other week.   This Sunday was especially great though because we organized our own c...

So Many Good Things

Image
This week was just absolutely incredible! I did a lot of pondering this week and especially reflecting back on my previous mission experiences. I remembered the times I felt the spirit so strongly and remembering those things changed something within me. I think that is the reason why we are told so many times in the scriptures to simply remember. I made an attitude adjustment and it was truly a week full of miracles to remember!   This week we found 2 new people to teach on Facebook. I haven't been able to find even one person willing to meet on Facebook up until this point, but this week we were blessed with 2!! Not only that but both of them actually followed through with the lesson and we taught them both this week. Annnnnd we extended a baptismal date to one, which they accepted! First miracle!   We also taught sooo many lessons with members and that has been a HUGE blessing. Especially because we had 4 different members bring us dinner. Another massive miracle. Not on...
