Church Zoom

This week was another really good one. Basically the whole lockdown we have been having some amazing weather but this week it took a slight dip haha, it rained on most days this week and even one of the days it absolutely poured on us while we were out for our run! Makes for some good fun haha. But I'm still really happy and this week was another terrific week with many tender mercies from the Lord.
Getting Soaked

So in terms of main events from this week, we had zone conference on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning we had "exchanges" with our district leader. The reason why it's "exchanges" is because we aren't allowed to gather with other missionaries so we each just had an hour long video call to talk about the work and to minister to each other basically. That was pretty good. Apart from those events this week didn't have much different than each other week.

This Sunday was especially great though because we organized our own church zoom call. It was the first time we did it here in this area and we were able to have 2 friends, 2 returning members, and a few active members join in with us so that was amazing! We had a small testimony meeting and it was very powerful. Also our own sacrament meeting together was very spiritual and I just had a fantastic day!

My pondering this week really made me consider about the importance of family. I have just been thinking how during the lockdown from different parts of the world, there were so many things that were taken away from us for a short time: routines, public transportation, entertainment activities, even basic food items were all not available. There were many worldly things that in an instant were far less available to us. One main thing that remained constant was family. No matter what goes on around us in the world, family units can never be taken away, especially those who have been sealed in the temple to be together throughout all eternity. Hopefully everyone has had the opportunity to recognize that the things that truly matter most do not come from the world, but are precious gifts from God!

This week I reached my 20 month mark in the mission, it's been a great experience and I hope to learn as much as I possibly can for this last little bit that I have. I love you all and wish the best for you!
