So Many Good Things
This week we found 2 new people to teach on Facebook. I haven't been able to find even one person willing to meet on Facebook up until this point, but this week we were blessed with 2!! Not only that but both of them actually followed through with the lesson and we taught them both this week. Annnnnd we extended a baptismal date to one, which they accepted! First miracle!
We also taught sooo many lessons with members and that has been a HUGE blessing. Especially because we had 4 different members bring us dinner. Another massive miracle. Not only members but we also taught THREE first lessons to non members this week. Wow I love to share the Gospel! So we were just loaded with lessons this week and I loved that. We also had interviews with President and Sister Checketts which is always great to talk with them and I enjoyed that.
Yet another miracle to share this week was we got to see 2 other Elders in person. Boy does it feel so nice to just be with people! There are two elders in our mission assigned as traveling assistants this transfer so they came to our flat for a few hours to talk with us and give us some trainings about things, and we also had a testimony meeting together after. BOOM it was powerful! Soooo nice to be with others even for a little bit.
Our Sunday was absolutely packed this week. We had 3 lessons with members, one church service with a less active, ward council, the devotional on Facebook Live, our own sacrament meeting, and it was fast Sunday. But boy did I feel great today. There is a special spirit about having the sacrament at home and we were just so busy reaching out to others that I just felt good!
So many good things happened this week. I know the Lord was mindful of our effort and he greatly blessed us because of it. God is just so good! I felt more joy this week than I have for a long time, even before the lockdown started. I know it wouldn't have been possible with out the prayers of so many of you praying for me, and praying for the missionaries. Thank you so much for those prayers! I know our prayers do more for others than we actually think. Hopefully things are well with you, I'm just gonna make sure this momentum carries into next week!
Love you all,
Elder Orchard
Got a few pictures this week of us just living the life!
