One Little Miracle

Image
It was the first week of the transfer, even though I got a new companion it was nice that I already knew him before because we didn't really have to do any adjusting or getting used to each other because we already lived in the same flat before haha!  Me and Elder Mepania I just wanted to share one miracle than came from this week. We have been struggling to try and find people to teach here during this lockdown. We have focused a lot on teaching members and this week we taught a couple that it actually turned out the wife was not a member, and she has been going to church for quite some time but she just never got baptized. The couple asked us if we could start teaching them the missionary lessons! We were honestly so excited and we know that this was a HUGE blessing from our Heavenly Father to help us out. We are so thankful!   Apart from that I'm still keeping up the running each day and focusing on whipping myself into good shape. It feels great to be healthy! The m...

Video Calls and Fresh Air

Another week has come and gone and another transfer has come and gone as well. This week as we begin the new transfer I now officially have 3 transfers left in my mission. What!?! Right now the days just go by extremely slow but the weeks are going by super fast. I guess it could be worse right?   We also received transfer calls yesterday and my companion and I were pretty certain that we were both going to be staying together, especially considering the fact that we both whitewashed into this area and it was only our first transfer, but my companion is actually getting moved. He will be going to my favorite area from my mission, Lea Valley, and my new comp will be Elder Mepania who was also serving in Lea Valley while I was there haha. Pretty exciting stuff! I guess let's see how this transfer goes.   Some good things to point out from this week was that the weather was extremely nice and warm, especially for the first half of the week. We enjoyed going outside for our usual ...

An Electronic Keyboard to the Rescue

Image
Alright so I'm getting pretty tired of just writing about each individual day when it's practically the same routine. So I think until Quarantine is over I'm just gonna right in a different format. I'll just tell you some of the highlights from my week, and anything else I feel like is important to share. It may not be as long, but that just makes things easier for me and for everyone who will have less to read! This week I beat my 4 mile run time again! I had a goal to finish in less than 30 minutes and on Tuesday this week I got a time of 29:31. I was so exhausted but felt so accomplished afterward 💪🏼. The other huge exciting thing that happened this week is my parents sent me an electronic piano keyboard through Amazon, that has been a HUGE blessing this week even though I'm not the best at playing the piano, it's so nice to practice and it's something I can spend lots of time doing too. Thanks mom and dad!  We also spent a bit of time doing s...

Nothing New

Week 8 ✔ Here's the update on me!   Tuesday (May 5): Aye it was Cinco De Mayo today! Not that it really means anything at all. 😂 This morning we did all our studies and things so that was good. Then we had a bit of lunch, and after lunch spent a few hours contacting members and potential friends. We had some pretty decent success in doing that so we were very happy about that. When we finished up there we figured it was time to head outside so you already know we hit that 4 mile run. Today I had fresh legs so I wanted to go for the record and I smashed it! Finished up with a time of 30 mins and 14 seconds. My new goal is just going to be to go less than 30 mins, once I get that it's gonna be hard to beat other than by Just a few seconds haha. But boy I was feeling it after so lots of stretching and walking it off haha. Then we just got showered up, cooked steak fajitas for dinner (yum) and then got ready for the mission call. That's about how our day was, pretty cool.   We...

Week 7 of Mission Quarantine

Image
Week 7 as a quarantined missionary has been completed. It's strange how it's nearly been 2 months now, especially because if I try to look back on the time everything is just like a blur and I can't really remember any specifics about everything. Kinda just living the same day over and over, but we are still blessed and I don't have much to complain about.   Tuesday (April 28): It was a solid day. The highlight was for sure when we were able to spend time outside going for a run in the rain. It was just like a light sprinkle and cloudy but it was super cool! We had so much fun haha, and we also got some cool pictures. We also did our best at online Proselyting and contacting. For dinner we made pasta with chicken. Then had our usual nightly mission call, and closed out the day. Wednesday: Another day on the online grind and the workout grind haha. If y'all remember last week we set our 4 miles run record at about 34 mins. Well, today we challenged that, and we manag...
