Nothing New
Week 8 ✔ Here's the update on me!
Tuesday (May 5): Aye it was Cinco De Mayo today! Not that it really means anything at all. 😂 This morning we did all our studies and things so that was good. Then we had a bit of lunch, and after lunch spent a few hours contacting members and potential friends. We had some pretty decent success in doing that so we were very happy about that. When we finished up there we figured it was time to head outside so you already know we hit that 4 mile run. Today I had fresh legs so I wanted to go for the record and I smashed it! Finished up with a time of 30 mins and 14 seconds. My new goal is just going to be to go less than 30 mins, once I get that it's gonna be hard to beat other than by Just a few seconds haha. But boy I was feeling it after so lots of stretching and walking it off haha. Then we just got showered up, cooked steak fajitas for dinner (yum) and then got ready for the mission call. That's about how our day was, pretty cool.
Wednesday: Another typical day here with nothing new to report. Just 2 mildly sad things happened today. The ham in our fridge was expired so we had to go buy some for lunch, and also when we were exercising today we decided we wanted to kick a football around after we finished our run, and well my comp kinda twisted his ankle so that was pretty trash.
Thursday: This morning we had district meeting, was great to have something to do. Then it was time to workout, shower, and get ready. Unfortunately because of my comps ankle, we did not head outside for a run today. Also a member bought some fruit and vegetables from the grocery store and came and dropped those of which was really exciting! Then we closed out the day having ward correlation over zoom and our mission call afterward.
Friday: Once again we were unable to get outside today so my companion could rest his ankle a bit more. So I had to do the most that I could to try and get a similar exercise inside haha. Always more difficult than when you are outside. It was another quite boring day especially considering the fact that we didn't really get outside at all so we were just all cooped up.
Saturday: Great news! My companion was feeling up to walking/jogging outside so we were able to go for our usual 4 miles. We decided we would get all our exercise done in the morning instead of the afternoon, so I spent about 20 mins doing some weights and then we went outside to jog with of course a few breaks in between. We finished up, showered, and had a nice big lunch. We did end up having a pretty cool activity today with the primary. We joined a zoom call with lots of the kids and they just asked us a bunch of questions about missionary work and various other things, it was pretty fun and also different which was great! After that not much else happened and things were pretty chill.
Sunday: Well we didn't really have any church services today with friends or members so it was a bit boring. But today was Mothers day and I did get to speak with my mom, as well as to have a Sunday service with my family so those 2 parts of the day were terrific. The weather was pretty bad today so we didn't go out for our Sunday Stroll. It was a pretty mellow way to finish the week.
Thanks for all the support. Y'all are great! Hope you are all happy and healthy. Love you all.
