Birthday Package

Image
This week flew by really quickly. Thanks to everyone who wrote me a little message for my birthday as well it was awesome and I really appreciated it! It's nice to know I'm longer the young 18 year old missionary, but I'm a 19 year old missionary now. Not that it's much of a difference lol, especially because I still feel 17. Anyways here is my week in a nutshell: Tuesday (June 18): So today was really weird. Last night we got a call from the TTAP's(teaching and traveling assistants to President) yeah it's super weird I know. Anyways they called us and said they were going to be coming to Stratford and go  on exchange with us for the day. Because that is their whole purpose. So in the morning me and Elder Bakman did our studies and then around lunch time we met with the TTAP's. I spent the day with Elder Lewis who went to Lone Peak High School and we had a pretty crazy day. It was good though. Tonight I also performed my first baptismal interview because som...

Elder Bakman, My Son

So this week was kinda crazy. My companion had to go home for Medical reasons and so I received a new missionary to train in the middle of the transfer. It was such a long and exhausting week but also fun as well.   Tuesday (June 11): What a crazy day! We woke up and then went to Hyde Park to pick up the new missionary who I will be training. It was good and we kind of got to chill for a little bit while President interviewed all the new missionaries.  My two companions from the transfer My greenie is Elder Bakman from Romania/Spain. He was born in Romania but his family has lived in Spain ever since he was 6. So he knows Romanian, Spanish, and is now learning English! He seems really great and hopefully it will be a great rest of the transfer.   Me and my son Elder Bakman likes to build towers Yeah...like I said! Wednesday: This morning we had to go and get the travel card set up for Elder Bakman and then we went to district meeting. And th...

Rashid Got Baptized!!!

What a phenomenal week here in Stratford. I had my second baptism this week 🎉 and I also had one of the most spiritual moments of my mission on Friday. I felt so blessed this week and I'm excited for you all to hear about it!   Tuesday (June 4): Well today was pretty decent. It started out with district council and that was fantastic. Then we got lunch as a district and we had to travel to what was supposed to be a lesson, although that didn't end up happening. So we did some contacting and stopped by a couple members who were nearby. And tonight we had to go give a member a blessing and after we did that we had to come home and we barely managed to make it by 9 but thankfully we did. The best district in the ELM Wednesday: Today was a really fantastic day. We had super MLC so all the zone leaders and district leaders in the mission gathered in Hyde Park.  Most of the original Hogg zone Some missionaries from my MTC group! The whole focus was about being a m...

A Full Week

It was soo hot and humid this week like wow Another extremely busy week for us here in London. And we had a bit of it all: Zone conference, exchange, crazy testimonies on fast Sunday. You name it.   Tuesday (May 28): Well we had a pretty empty day today. No appointments scheduled whatsoever. So this morning we did our studies and then we traveled to the chapel in order to print out some invitations to an activity we will be having on Saturday. Then we came back to the flat and had lunch and then went finding. After that we contacted some of the friends we found last week, and finally we stopped by less active members for a bit before coming home and having dinner. Wednesday: This was one of the busiest days I've ever had in my mission. I had zone leader exchange and my companion was Elder Viloria from Venezuela.  Exchange with Elder Viloria He's a huge baseball fan so we enjoyed talking a bit of baseball throughout the day and it was great. But honestly we were runnin...
