This Heat 🥵

Another week has come and gone and it has been so dang hot! Nearly every day this week was in the 90s Fahrenheit and with the English humidity I just die. But man we make it through, still a couple more days of this heat and then hopefully it will cool down a bit. 

The first main highlight from this week was on Tuesday as we had exchanges with the zone leaders again. We also did a little live stream with some music and Testimonies and it was pretty cool. For exercise time I got to play some pingpong with Elder Hathaway and it took me back to the good old days. That was so much fun! We also had to spend a bit more time fixing up the car again like last week, but we are thinking and hoping everything should be ok now 👌🏼

Another positive from this week is that we were able to have district meeting in person for the first time so that was honestly really nice! And on the same day we travelled to a member's house who gave us some fresh haircuts because he is a hairdresser, so we are grateful for that too! 

This Saturday was a pretty busy and solid day as well. We spent a few hours doing some service and painting a few rooms with our bishop at his house. Man it was HOT and we were sweating like crazy but we made some good progress and it was pretty nice to do a bit of service. 

We have still been teaching and working with all the same people and one of them is making really good progress so we are super excited about that. It's been great to see her faith increase and her knowledge grow in such a short time. I truly know that the Lord is at the head of this work and he knows exactly what he is doing. God is so good! 

That's about all from me this week, nothing too exciting just a whole lot of exhaustion from the heat and trying to have enough energy to make it through each day. I hope everyone is safe and doing well, I love and appreciate all of you! Until next week.

He's Home!

There is nothing quite like that first hug in 2 years.  It is something you have to experience to completely understand.  I missed this boy so much.  Even though I got to video call with him weekly, there is nothing like being together, in person. Stockton's welcome home looked a lot different than we anticipated when he left.  Covid restrictions kept us from going inside the airport, we all wore masks and we didn't invite extended family.  But it didn't take the joy out of the moment we finally got to be with him!  It's a mom's (and a girlfriend's) dream come true. ♥️ We didn't get the best pictures because we were more concerned with video.  And, Mason was on picture duty.  He is still learning about angles and capturing that perfect moment!
