Saw Some Cool Places

The last week of August has come and gone and now here we are about to start September. 😱 That's some pretty crazy stuff!

It was another pretty standard and typical week with our usual events, only with a few different things on different days. Last P day we actually ended up going to Oxford! It's a long story and I don't want to type it up but basically we had the spare keys of some missionaries who locked themselves out of their flat and had to take it to them. It was a long road trip but super fun to spend a P day in Oxford! There's definitely some pictures in my picture email.

We also had our usual Tuesday Tunes and Testimony live stream on our Facebook page "Church of Jesus Christ in Surrey" if y'all are interested to check it out on Facebook. We'll do it again this week haha. On Wednesday we were able to do some more service again for a member in the ward who's renovating her garden and is building a nice path around her flower beds. We spent many hours digging holes and transporting wheelbarrows of dirt and concrete. It's loads of fun, but extremely exhausting work! Let's just say we slept well that night.

Also, another crazy thing that happened this week, our washer stopped working so we had to drive to some other Elder's flat and borrow their washer to clean my clothes haha. We had to make a few trips this weekend to drop off and pick up each load. Even though it was a long drive it was super nice to see those Elders and I really appreciate them being homies and letting us use their washer. Plus we spent our Sunday walk going to Windsor Castle with the Elders and it was cool! Let's hope we can get ours fixed soon!

Apart from those couple of things it was just a typical week here. Some nice meal Appointments, lessons, and doing missionary work through social media. What an interesting world to live in! Hope you are all keeping well. I'm really glad I only have 4 more of these emails to write, and probably you are all sick of reading them so I'm sure you'll be glad too haha. He's Home!

There is nothing quite like that first hug in 2 years.  It is something you have to experience to completely understand.  I missed this boy so much.  Even though I got to video call with him weekly, there is nothing like being together, in person. Stockton's welcome home looked a lot different than we anticipated when he left.  Covid restrictions kept us from going inside the airport, we all wore masks and we didn't invite extended family.  But it didn't take the joy out of the moment we finally got to be with him!  It's a mom's (and a girlfriend's) dream come true. ♥️ We didn't get the best pictures because we were more concerned with video.  And, Mason was on picture duty.  He is still learning about angles and capturing that perfect moment!
