Emergency Transfer

Wow what a crazy week it has been! First of all before I start my week, we have been given permission to use instagram for proselyting purposes so please follow me on there so that my account doesn't look as sketchy with no followers haha. My username is stockton.orchard

Right as soon as P day finished last week we got a call from President Checketts and he told us there was an emergency transfer involving us. So my companion Elder Mepania had to pack up that night and be ready to leave the next morning. My new companion was going to be a missionary who was originally assigned to ChilĂ© but then had to come home and was reassigned to our mission. He was only there for a couple months and most of it was in quarantine so it's kind of like I'm training again. Let me tell ya it's been a wild week but it has been a good one still!

So about the experience on Tuesday swapping companions; the zone leaders picked us up in the morning and we drove to Hyde Park to drop off Elder Mepania to get driven to his new area in Portsmouth. Then we headed to the Kings Cross train station in London to meet my companion who had a nice train ride down from where he lives which is just a few hours North of here.

We found platform 9 3/4! (Harry Potter)

It was fun traveling through to find him in a huge station while all masked up haha. But we finally got him and made it back to Hyde Park for him to have an interview with President. Then, we were blessed to be able to go to 5 Guys with the Checketts and they bought us lunch and we ate inside with them and that was a blast!

Anyways after all the other details we got ready to go back to our area, and the best news of all, my companion can drive so we got a car for our area!!! Emergency transfers are sad but wow that is a huge blessing to be able to have that especially because our area is so huge. Haha Tuesday was a crazy day but we finally got everything figured out and made it back to our area.

Other highlights from the week include the fact that we were finally able to go to the chapel for the first time since I've been here, and it was great to see it finally haha. Also we had 4 meal appointments with members this week which was really great, and we were able to travel out to some different parts of our area that were just too far to go before so that was awesome.

We also had interviews with President and Sister Checketts this week, it was together as a companionship as well so it was interesting considering the fact we had only been together for like 3 days at that point haha, but it was good. We also had a couple hours of trainings on that same day and it was pretty good. There were some things I was able to learn and hopefully apply so let's hope that will help us in the work!

Overall this week was really great. We had some good lessons, we got a car, and lots of good food. Honestly those are 3 great things and life is pretty good right now. I'm happy to be here and I'm hoping to continue to improve myself and to improve the work here in this area. Time is winding down but I'm doing my best to make sure my effort does not! I'm thankful for the prayers, we have been able to see some tender mercies each and everyday and I'm so thankful for that. That's all from me this week. Hope you are all well and have a great week! Love y'all!
