Bikes

What's happening to the time?! I feel like this week all I did was blink and now it's Monday again! On Friday of this week I officially hit my 21 month mark in the mission. Wow!! That is a big number 😮


Honestly there wasn't anything too exciting that we did that week or anything that was new or different. Although, we did receive permission to use bikes and our members came in clutch and provided us with some bikes so now we are able to cover a little bit more distance to travel for DA's and other things which is nice since we still can't use public transport. We went for a bike ride on Sunday and wow that was such a blast! We were able to see some beautiful countryside of the areas around Guildford and wow it was just beautiful!!

A couple of our friends are progressing really well, one of them we even had a great lesson with about temples and family history this week and she is excited to prepare for the temple following her baptism so let's gooo.

During one of the lessons we were teaching I was just overcome with the spirit of truth which testified to me of the Plan of Salvation. This is something I have been praying about for a long time because I have never questioned if it was true or not, so I decided to apply Moroni's promise to other gospel topics besides just the Book of Mormon. Well, after months of continued prayers mine were answered through a simple message to my heart while teaching someone else about it. This really helps me see and know that answers to prayers will ALWAYS come when we are consistent and diligent with our work, and with our praying. I know that many of you have been praying for the missionaries all the time and I thank you for that! Prayer is so powerful and I know God hears our cries.

He's Home!

There is nothing quite like that first hug in 2 years.  It is something you have to experience to completely understand.  I missed this boy so much.  Even though I got to video call with him weekly, there is nothing like being together, in person. Stockton's welcome home looked a lot different than we anticipated when he left.  Covid restrictions kept us from going inside the airport, we all wore masks and we didn't invite extended family.  But it didn't take the joy out of the moment we finally got to be with him!  It's a mom's (and a girlfriend's) dream come true. ♥️ We didn't get the best pictures because we were more concerned with video.  And, Mason was on picture duty.  He is still learning about angles and capturing that perfect moment! The Best Ending

What an amazing last week of my mission! There was a lot that went on this week but the most amazing thing of all was the fact that I was able to see 2 of our friends get baptized this weekend! You seriously could not even make up a better ending to my mission story than this. Julia and Lizzie, who we both taught because of the lockdown and the quarantine both made their first covenant with God this weekend and chose to be baptized. I can not express how full my heart is and how much gratitude I have for the blessings and for the goodness of God. I know that he is the one who prepared these precious souls and that we were just privileged to be an instrument in his hands to accomplish his will.   Well everyone, this is it. Tomorrow I will be flying home from my full time missionary service.
