General Conference Schedule

Our Dear Sisters, Elders of the England London Mission:

The General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints will be held this coming weekend and we wanted to give you some encouragement and the schedule for you to look forward to. This will be a moving and special experience for us all as we receive counsel from Living Prophets and Apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ--most notably, our Prophet: Russell M. Nelson.
Please prepare your hearts and minds to receive revelation from the hours of doctrine, music, and testimony that you will hear. I testify that  the Lord will bless and be with you all.
The Mission Field is a glorious place to be during Conference. Your heart is attuned to hear the Spirit and because of your personal study, you will recognize the scriptures and stories quoted .
We pray that you will be greatly blessed.
Because you will be able to stream General Conference to your flats, it will be easy to not be at your best as the sessions unfold. Do not lie down to listen. Do not fail to have your notebook available and be ready to take notes. Be dressed in your Sunday clothes for the morning and the rebroadcast of Saturday night sessions---do this out of respect for the leaders of the Church and the sanctity of the message the Lord will impart to you---His Servant. When you watch the sessions which begin at 9pm, you may dress in casual clothing---but have your mind and heart ready to listen.
We love you so and pray that you will feel the Spirit in each session--President and Sister Checketts

GENERAL CONFERENCE APRIL 2020
Dear Sisters and Elders—
 
Welcome to General Conference! Perhaps the most needed General Conference in many, many years!
 
In a social media post, President Russell M. Nelson wrote: “I extend a warm welcome to all, regardless of your faith tradition, to join with us through technology and to rejoice in the comforting power of revealed truth. I love you. I pray for you. And I assure you that the Lord is watching over us during these troubling times.”
 
In the England London Mission, while we are challenged on every side, we THRIVE ON OPPOSITION—BEHOLD, OUR WORK IS NOT FINISHED!
 
Let us look forward to all that lies ahead this weekend.
 
Now—everyone, you should all have all the data you need to stream the sessions of Conference while in your flats. It just so happens that you have enough data now for April 4th, Saturday, so that you can stream Saturday’s sessions LIVE. Then our new data plan kicks in on Sunday, and you should be able to enjoy all three sessions on that day (see schedule below).

He's Home!

There is nothing quite like that first hug in 2 years.  It is something you have to experience to completely understand.  I missed this boy so much.  Even though I got to video call with him weekly, there is nothing like being together, in person. Stockton's welcome home looked a lot different than we anticipated when he left.  Covid restrictions kept us from going inside the airport, we all wore masks and we didn't invite extended family.  But it didn't take the joy out of the moment we finally got to be with him!  It's a mom's (and a girlfriend's) dream come true. ♥️ We didn't get the best pictures because we were more concerned with video.  And, Mason was on picture duty.  He is still learning about angles and capturing that perfect moment!
