A Solid Week

Really a solid week filled with a little bit of everything. Time is flying and Thanksgiving and Christmas are coming and I am just happy! Here's my week in review:

Tuesday (Nov 19): Today we had our zone interviews combined with a mini zone conference since our zone conference this transfer will be going to the temple on the last week. We had a lot of trainings about just giving our best at the end of the year. Then we had an appointment at night with the family we've been working with who has 2 kids about ready to be baptized and they are ready to go and so great!
We all had matching shoes at interviews
Wednesday: Our day was pretty decent, we started out by going finding at a wonderful place called Seven Sisters Station. We were there about 90 mins before going to visit one of our favourite recent converts, who ordered some food for us and we had a great lesson about fasting. We headed back to the chapel and had a comp study, did more finding outside the church, and also stopped by a few returning member's homes. Then we had our gospel principles study class with the ward and it was a great night.

Thursday: We had a district leader exchange today and I went with my boy Elder Ramsey in Stratford. It was a fun throwback for sure! We had a couple appointments and the best of all was I got to see Zane who got baptized a couple months ago that I was able to teach!
Me with Zane after getting some hot chocolate!
Wow it was so good and she was excited too. She definitely has a strong testimony! The rest of the day was really good too and to top it off we went to Nando's for dinner to get some really good chicken.

Friday: Today was a blitz day in Stratford so I basically had 2 full days in a row at Stratford. But we started out visiting a returning member and doing finding altogether as a district. Then we stopped by returning members for Stratford and I got to see one my favourite members from Stratford named Antonio. He was so nice and I was glad to see him again. By the end of the day we came back to Lea Valley for our games night and that was all.

Saturday: It was definitely an interesting day and we really wasted a lot of time which just sucks. We were supposed to teach an English Class in the morning and about 5 or 6 people were going to come but they didn't, but that's alright we did a little work and had lunch, then travelled 45 mins to the edge of our area to visit the home of someone we were going to teach, when we get there he says we can't teach him today we have to do another day, so we gotta go back 45 minutes to where our next place was to go and again our plan fell through. I just felt like I spent my whole day on the bus it was really lame. The night was ok we stopped by a lot of returning members and met a few new faces but the first couple hours were just a waste.

Sunday: It was the primary program in our ward which is always a really fun time and super funny. We also had one of our friends come to church for the 2nd time in a row today and so we decided that rather than going to Priesthood with him that we would teach him a lesson about the Restoration and extend a baptismal date, he just loved it all and now is preparing to be baptized in the middle of December. Let's gooo! We were excited about that and how prepared he is so hopefully things stay that way. Then we went over to the Brazilian members home for lunch and had a good time as always. She even played some Christmas music and we watched the new Christ Child video which I just loved! No clue what language it was in though haha, but you can feel the spirit in any language so it's all good. Sundays in this area are just sooo good 👌🏼

Well that's all from me. It was a pretty good week and I'm excited about seeing the 2 kids baptized this upcoming Saturday and for many more miracles to come! God is just pouring down blessings on you and I right now. It's a great time to be alive.
