Lots of Meetings
This month there has been a big thing about data privacy where we basically have to call people whose phone number we have and ask for their permission to have their data saved and so we spent like an hour doing that each day it was pretty crazy. Also it was a busy week with tons of meetings and of course I got sick towards the end of it too. It felt like a pretty dang long week but that's alright there was still some good.
Tuesday (Sept 3): This morning we made our area book calls, then we had studies and ate lunch. Afterward we went to a lesson for Elder Ramsey to teach a Chinese lady in Ilford (a different area). That was good, and then we headed to an appointment that we had with a friend from Germany, had a great lesson with him and extended a baptismal date and he accepted! Unfortunately he lives in a different area so we will have to refer him to those missionaries, but oh well. Then we just went to try and stop by some returning members and came home and made some tacos for dinner. It was a pretty good day.
Wednesday: Today was pretty amazing. We started out by making our phone calls in the area book, then after that we had our comp study and went to 5 Guys because a member took us out to have 5 Guys for lunch!! Wow it was so awesome! And it was so good oh my goodness it was amazing.
Then we headed to a lesson with a less active member and it was pretty decent. After that we were supposed to visit another less active family but we were a bit behind on time and so we just came home to do the studies we needed to and to eat dinner. It was a great day with the best lunch ever!
Thursday: A big chunk of our day was taken up by the 3 week meeting for Elder Ramsey so we headed into the mission office in the morning and had that meeting, it was pretty fun, and we also got fed chicken salad for lunch so woohoo. When we got back home we had a lesson with this guy from Hungary and it was pretty decent. Then we just headed home to do our studies and have dinner.
Friday: Much like yesterday, pretty much our whole day was spent in the mission office for interviews with the mission President and that's always fantastic! He even gave me the scoop on what's most likely going to happen to me next transfer so that was cool.
By the time that was said and done I was able to call my dad because today was his birthday. And my family was in Disneyland so I did a video call and got to feel a bit like I was in Disneyland with the family for a few minutes while I talked with my dad. It was awesome! Then again we did out studies and dinner tonight to finish the day.
Saturday: Guess what? Another day, and another meeting in the morning. We had 3 days in a row of meetings I was just wanting to do some missionary work not sit in meetings. This one was a meeting with the district leaders in the zone to council about some things. Afterward we got some lunch and then came back to our area for another lesson. Then we did language study before traveling to an appointment with a less active family. They are pretty fun to be with. Then we had to travel back home and get ready for bed.
Sunday: Honestly today wasn't exactly the best. I didn't get much sleep last night because I stayed up coughing. And woke up feeling really sick. It made for a rough day to say the least. Church was not too bad. Also Zane just got back from Latvia and she brought us a bunch of chocolates from there so that was super nice. After church we came home to eat lunch and do our studies and weekly planning. After we did those we headed off to a dinner appointment with that new couple who just moved in from BYU and wow they are just great. Lasagne was for dinner and it tasted great. Then we played a fun game called codenames, it was my first time playing and it was pretty fun actually. Then we were able to come home and prepare ourselves for bed.
Hopefully this week we can actually have more time to do some real work and also I'll be able to recover from this illness. Just 2 weeks left in the transfer which is crazy! So we just gotta make the most of the time we have left. Love you guys and I'll talk to you next week!
