I Played Settlers of Catan

Tuesday (August 27): This morning we had district council and that was good like usual. We got lunch afterwards and then we were supposed to have like 2 appointments but both of them canceled. So basically we spent like 5 hours straight in the afternoon/evening time just doing street contacting. Then we also did some studies and had dinner but honestly today was just long and we just worked super hard and were diligent with talking to people all day.
Wednesday: This morning we were going to have a lesson with a less active member but he asked if he could change it for Thursday so we had to make the switch. Thankfully a member in the ward called us up because she was in Stratford town center and wanted to take us out to lunch so we went to a pretty good noodle place with her. It was good! Then we went to see Zane because she is going to be spending the rest of next week visiting her family back home in her country so we wanted to see her before she left. After that lesson we headed up to the chapel because the Ilford missionaries were teaching a Chinese lady and Elder Ramsey was able to go help and he taught his first lesson in Chinese. So that was pretty awesome! After that we just headed back home to eat some dinner and go to sleep.
Thursday: Alright so now we actually were able to have that lesson with the less active member and it was really great. Then we came home to do our studies and afterward we went out finding on the street for the next few hours. We spent the night going around and trying to stop by returning members as well. My feet were pretty tired at the end of the day but that's how I know we worked hard!
Friday: A large bulk of our day today was spent in 2 really long lessons. So in the morning we had a lesson with some returning members that haven't been to church in years, but they always like us to come around each week. We decided that now was the time to just be really bold with them and do literally everything we possibly could to help them go to church. So we spent about 2 hours just resolving every single little concern they had. But it was a good thing. Then in the afternoon we had another long lesson but this time it was a first lesson with a guy we found on Tuesday. He was really quite interested and had lots of questions so we also had a pretty long lesson with him. The saddest thing is that he actually doesn't live in our area he lives right on the corner but it's a different area. After the lessons we tried to stop by a few returning members and then that was our day.
Saturday: We got to play football in Ilford again with those missionaries and some members. That's so much fun!! After that we came home to shower, change, and eat lunch. Then we headed over to the Olympic park because we had an appointment with a Chinese guy there and the crazy thing was there was actually a West Ham football game today and it was packed with people! It took us a while to find this guy but eventually we did and he was really awesome. And our night was spent in Lea Valley because the elders in my district had 3 baptisms! So we went to that and man that was incredible. It's always great to see how happy these recent converts are.
Sunday: Oh boy let me tell you this was one of the best Sundays I've had on my mission. So it started out great, remember those returning members that we had a super long lesson with on Friday? Yeah, they came to church! Along with another less active member that we found this week that hasn't been for ages as well. So that made us so happy! Then after church we had ward council, which was kinda meh. But anyways after ward council we get a text from this brand new couple who just moved into the ward and they invited us over for dinner. And these guys are awesome! They both recently graduated from BYU last year and the guy is from California and the girl is from Ireland. So her accent is the best. Anyways they cooked us some incredible food and man I was sooo thankful! Not only that but we also played a quick game of Settlers of Catan with them! I certainly can't think of a better way to finish out the week.
That was mostly it for our week. It was a lot of hard work and a lot of fun at the same time. The Lord really does give us tender mercies every single day. I'm thankful for the privilege that it is to bless the lives of others and to get to do it in one of the coolest cities in the world! London is incredible. Thanks everyone for being so awesome. I love you all, until next week!
