Tuesday (August 6): We had interviews with President and Sister Checketts today. So we headed into the mission office in the morning and spent most of our day there. We had various training from other missions while we were waiting to be interviewed. It was a really great day, plus, we had homemade brownies as part of our lunch so what more could you want 🤷♂️
Wednesday: This morning we had an appointment to go to the house of a really cool returning member from Italy. He ordered pizza for us and we had a lesson with him which was super nice. Then we left to meet up with Zane. Did some finding and also had a lesson with an eternigator (basically someone who has met with missionaries for years but isn't willing to keep any commitments so they don't progress). That wasn't too bad. Then we came home to study and eat dinner.
Thursday: Today was a pretty decent day. I had a half day exchange with one of our zone leaders because both Frank and Zane had their baptismal interviews. So I basically just sat and waited during the interviews for most of the day haha 😂 It was cool though. They both passed their interviews and are ready to go for Sunday! Then tonight a member bought some Chinese food for us and boy that was delicious!
Friday: It's been a pretty busy week for everyone in the district. But we were finally able to have district council today. Then Elder Bakman had an eye appointment to see if he needs glasses, turns out he does, so we got that all sorted out. Afterwards we had a late lunch at home before having a lesson with another eternigator. We read the Book of Mormon with him and tried to explain it and help him understand but he was just really closed off. Oh well, we are trying to help him. After that we did some studies and came home to eat dinner, we ordered a pizza from Papa John's and that was delicious!
Saturday: We started out our day by playing football in Ilford with those missionaries and some less active members. Boy it was so much fun and we played for about 3 hours but wow I was so sore afterwards and I still am. It was a great time though. We went back home to have lunch and shower and get dressed, and then we needed to prepare the baptismal program for the 2 baptisms we would be having tomorrow!! After that was done we went to a lesson with a part member family and had a good time with them. It was a really fun day.
Sunday: Oh yeah Sunday baby! This one was particularly amazing! So in the morning we received transfer calls and me and my companion are both staying together again! That will be 3 transfers in the same area with the same companion. So then we headed to church. After church we had not one, but two baptisms!! Our friends Frank and Zane both got baptized and man that was so amazing.

Just seeing how people can change when they start to follow the gospel of Jesus Christ brings so much joy to me and it is a testimony in itself of just how true this church is. If it wasn't true there would be no way it could bring so much joy and happiness to our lives. I hope you all know how blessed we are to have the gospel in our lives. Some people don't have it simply because they have never heard about it before. So that's why we need to do missionary work!! Love you all so much. See you next week.
