Finding, Eating, More Finding

Me just trying to be happy in the rain!
So this week was extremely boring. Because our 2 friends got baptized last week we don't really have anyone to teach at the moment so we just spent so much time out finding on the streets. Didn't have much luck with that but that's how we spent most of our time. It was quite a long week full with lots of rain. Hopefully next week will be a bit better! 


Tuesday (Aug 13): Well our day was pretty decent. We went out and did finding in the morning until we headed home to eat lunch. After lunch we visited Zane to talk with her to see how she has been doing since her baptism and she's great! After that we came home to do even more finding and then we had studies and dinner. 

Wednesday: Did our studies in the morning today, followed up by some finding. Then we went to an appointment with a returning member and he made hot chocolate for us and we shared a lesson with him and one of his friends who was visiting. Tonight we met with Frank who also just got baptized on Sunday and we are preparing him to go to the temple as well as Zane so that's exciting stuff! After that we made dinner and went to sleep. 

Thursday: District Council today. We got lunch together afterward and then Elder Bakman and I traveled home for some studies. We did more finding and then traveled to an appointment with the family from Colombia who is less active but love the missionaries. They made us dinner and it was really good! After spending some time at their home we had to catch our bus to be back by 9pm and then we got ready to sleep.

Friday: In the morning we had a lesson with the less active members from Russia. Then we came home and ate lunch before going finding. Then we visited a less active member who asked us to give him a blessing and we also taught the restoration to him and his friend that he lives with. There were both pretty cool dudes, then we just came home and studies and ate dinner. 

Saturday: Today was lots of fun. We played football in the morning with the missionaries in Ilford and some less active members from both of our wards. After a couple hours of that we needed to come home to shower and eat lunch, then do our studies. We did more finding after that and finally when it came to be dinner time we had a really delicious dinner of 5 Guys! It's been a few months since I've had it and I wanted Elder Bakman to try so we enjoyed that and it was scrumptious.

Sunday: Church was very nice. Frank and Zane were sustained as members and also a lot of the returning members that we visited throughout the week came to church so we were super happy about that. There was ward council after church that we went to and then we came home to have lunch, study, and then go out to do more finding. After all that we came back home to plan out our next week and eat dinner. And that was how we closed out our week. 

There's really nothing that exciting that happened this week. Sorry it was probably a pretty boring email but that's how the week was so there's not much else to say. Love you all! Until Next week.

He's Home!

There is nothing quite like that first hug in 2 years.  It is something you have to experience to completely understand.  I missed this boy so much.  Even though I got to video call with him weekly, there is nothing like being together, in person. Stockton's welcome home looked a lot different than we anticipated when he left.  Covid restrictions kept us from going inside the airport, we all wore masks and we didn't invite extended family.  But it didn't take the joy out of the moment we finally got to be with him!  It's a mom's (and a girlfriend's) dream come true. ♥️ We didn't get the best pictures because we were more concerned with video.  And, Mason was on picture duty.  He is still learning about angles and capturing that perfect moment!
