Bring Your Own Serviceware (BYOS)

It was a super long week but we were so blessed with food appointments this week. My whole first transfer we only had 2 dinner appointments and this week we had 4!! I was so grateful and it was really nice. Anyways, here's my week in a nutshell:

Tuesday (July 2): Today was a good day. It started out doing studies and then eating lunch. After that we travelled to our chapel to create our goals and plans for this transfer and then print it out to put it in our flat. Then we had a lesson with our friend Zane from Latvia who is really progressing well. Then we met with a member who took us out to get some food from a Chinese restaurant and it was delicious. Then we did a little bit of street contacting before heading home for the night.

Wednesday: What a busy day! Started right off the bat with our lesson with a returning member. Then we went to a lunch appointment where we ate some delicious Indian food and had fruit with ice cream for dessert. Then we went to the home of a recent convert to see him for a little bit before coming home to study. After studies we had a dinner appointment with a university student in the ward. It was quite funny because he told us he only had 1 plate and 1 fork and stuff. So we carried our own plates, forks, cups, and spoons. I bet the people on the streets had a good laugh at two missionaries carrying their own dishes and silverware on the streets.

Thursday: Ayye Independence day happy 4th of July! Unfortunately they don't celebrate that holiday in England but I honestly have no clue why 🤷‍♂️ Not gonna lie I was a little sad today because of missing out on the holiday.
My 4th of July outfit
The best I could do to celebrate was wear my American Flag socks and a red tie, White shirt, and Blue trousers. It was really hot though and I was sweating a lot! Today wasn't super eventful, although the highlight of the day was at the end when we had yet another dinner appointment. Chicken, broccoli, and rice, oh man it was so good.

Friday: Wow today was super busy just like Wednesday. We had district council in the morning, got lunch, then I had a district leader meeting afterwards with all the district leaders in the zone. Those 2 things took up a huge chunk of our day, but after that we had another lesson with our friend Zane. Then we got back home around 7 and did a language study then ate dinner.

Saturday: It was a really weird day. In the morning we had a good lesson with a referral that we received from other missionaries. Then we stopped at McDonald's to get some lunch and Elder Bakman then joined some other Elder's lesson in a video call because they were teaching a guy from Romania, it was pretty neat to watch. Then we travelled to a different area in our district for a baptismal interview but the guy called after we arrived and said he was going to be 2 hours late. There was no point to travel back because it takes an hour to travel one way. So basically we just studied there and then the guy never actually ended up coming. It was such a waste of time... After that we went to a members house who cooked is some food to bring home with us. Not the greatest day.

Sunday: Fast Sunday woot woot! It was a good but crazy Sunday, however that's how it usually goes. 3 of our friends came to church this week and that was great! But the more of our friends who come to church the harder it is to stick with them all and make sure they aren't confused. After church we had ward council and then we stopped by a few members who didn't come today to make sure everything was ok. Then we came back for an earlier than usual dinner to break our fast, and after that we studied and planned out the next week!

I can't believe we are already one week in July, it's unbelievable to me! The weeks can be really long some times but the overall time absolutely flies! I love each of you and am so thankful for your prayers and support. Have a wonderful week!
