I Love Interviews!

This week was a super long one because my P day got moved to Tuesday just for this week because we had interviews. Lots of great days this week, nothing too huge to report on though. Although I did truly feel the love of God in each and every day just in the little things. I had a wonderful experience this week while we were out on the street finding people and I just felt a love for the people here in this area. It's hard to explain but I was just overcome with a feeling of care for each and every one of these people. I know that God cares for every single one of us as his children and I'm grateful to be one who shares that love with others. 

Tuesday (March 26): Today was a fantastic day, we had our district meeting in Hastings and so we were able to drive there and honestly it was so fantastic to see the area again. Also we had our flat check today and totally killed it. It's not hard when you only spend time in the flat to sleep and to get ready in the morning. Then we drove to our area and taught a lesson as well as had a dinner appointment, what a fun day.

Wednesday: We had another pretty decent day. Did a bit of finding and got some things sorted at the chapel that the ward asked us to do. Ate KFC for lunch so that was yummy. Then we had planned to have a member of the bishopric come with us as we stopped by less active members and it was super effective honestly. I think that it was a really genius idea.

Thursday: Not a bad day, traveled to Maidstone and went street finding in the morning. Then we stopped at a grocery store and bought some frozen meals for £1 to heat up in the microwave at the chapel and it wasn't too bad plus super cheap so can't complain about that one. After that it was back onto the street and then a comp study and we had a meeting with the ward mission leader tonight which he brought pizza to.

Friday: We started today out by doing service for a member in the ward doing some yard work. Cutting the grass and pulling weeds. It's been a long time since I've been able to do that and it actually felt really great I enjoyed it. Plus the weather was fantastic it was 17 degrees Celsius and sunny so that's about 65 degrees Fahrenheit. They feed us lunch afterward it was these really good sausages. We stopped by more less active members tonight and then we drove home. Great day! 

Saturday: Today started out by going to the chapel because we got asked to take the 2nd hour of church and talk about missionary work since it was a combined 5th Sunday lesson. So we made a little presentation on member missionary work and how members and missionaries can work together to be most effective. We also taught another lesson with a girl who has been really progressing well lately. And we had another DA tonight with fried chicken and potatoes, then we drove home to close out a great Saturday.

Sunday: What a wonderful day, I love Sundays. Also today was Mother's day in the United Kingdom so we had a special mothers day service and it was great, the primary sang which I always love. And after sacrament we gave our presentation to the ward and I think it went pretty well. Also we got invited over for lunch afterward and we ate enchiladas and a super yummy cake. You can say we ate pretty dang well this week. 

Monday: Yes I know it's usually P day on Mondays but our zone got moved to Tuesday because we had interviews. Plus it's April, holy cow! Interviews were great today I thoroughly enjoyed it. It started out we had a testimony meeting for an hour as a zone and then we ate pizza and brownies for lunch. Afterwards, we had interviews with President and Sister Checketts. President wanted us to come prepared with a scripture we have memorized leading up to interviews and I chose to do Moroni 7:16 And I recited it perfectly. The assistants also gave a training about asking effective questions during lessons in order to be better teachers. Today was really really great I always love interviews.

He's Home!

There is nothing quite like that first hug in 2 years.  It is something you have to experience to completely understand.  I missed this boy so much.  Even though I got to video call with him weekly, there is nothing like being together, in person. Stockton's welcome home looked a lot different than we anticipated when he left.  Covid restrictions kept us from going inside the airport, we all wore masks and we didn't invite extended family.  But it didn't take the joy out of the moment we finally got to be with him!  It's a mom's (and a girlfriend's) dream come true. ♥️ We didn't get the best pictures because we were more concerned with video.  And, Mason was on picture duty.  He is still learning about angles and capturing that perfect moment!
