General Conference

This week was short and it went by super super quick so it was crazy, plus general conference. Wow what a fantastic week!

Wednesday (April 3): Today was actually really uneventful to be honest. Not much too exciting to talk about. Although we did have a lesson with Chloe and Shelly and that went well. We also had a DA with a family from Chile. They made nachos and we got to get to know the youth a bit better. They have like 5 kids so it was great. 

Thursday: We had service for an older lady in the ward this morning and we did some good gardening for her. It was definitely worth it because she fed us lunch and it was amazing.

 Then we got changed and did some finding. Also we had another DA at bishops house and we had our correlation with the ward mission leader. Super efficient day! 

Friday: Floral Friday let's goooo! I love Fridays because I decided to make it fun since the beginning of my mission I always wear a floral tie on Fridays. Today was a pretty average missionary day though nothing crazy happened. This evening we were supposed to have a DA with an older lady in the ward but she had to cancel on us. Thankfully she gave us money to go buy dinner so we went and got Subway and man it was great. Haven't had it in a while because it's pretty pricy but since someone gave us money for it it worked out great.

Saturday: Today was phenomenal. I've been looking forward to conference for the last 6 months and it was great to actually have it. We had 2 people come and watch it with us at the chapel as well. And let's not forget to mention how we had a whole bunch of snacks ready.

Sunday: General conference Sunday was outstanding. This morning we watched Priesthood session, then at 1pm we watched the Saturday afternoon session and at 5pm we got to watch the live session of Sunday morning and wow they were all absolutely fantastic. Plus today was transfer calls and Me and Elder Cavalcante are both staying together in Maidstone. So stoked for that!!! 

I have loved every minute of general conference and I'm excited to watch the last session at some point this week. It's been wonderful!! Until next week.

He's Home!

There is nothing quite like that first hug in 2 years.  It is something you have to experience to completely understand.  I missed this boy so much.  Even though I got to video call with him weekly, there is nothing like being together, in person. Stockton's welcome home looked a lot different than we anticipated when he left.  Covid restrictions kept us from going inside the airport, we all wore masks and we didn't invite extended family.  But it didn't take the joy out of the moment we finally got to be with him!  It's a mom's (and a girlfriend's) dream come true. ♥️ We didn't get the best pictures because we were more concerned with video.  And, Mason was on picture duty.  He is still learning about angles and capturing that perfect moment!
