We Are Getting A Car!

This week was pretty decent. I mean the weather was absolute rubbish but we had zone conference and zone leader exchange so it was a pretty fun and eventful week!

Here's a great picture in Maidstone. 1 hour after this was taken it started snowing 😂

Here's what Big Ben looks like at the moment.

Tuesday (March 12): We had zone conference today and I really enjoyed it. We got a lot of different trainings on things mostly related to teaching most effectively using scriptures. For lunch we made our own nachos because everything was just laid out for us and that was scrumptious. Then we had the free thrown competition and I made it through the first round but then lost. So that was a shame. After zone conference was over we traveled home on the train and played cards with the sisters in Hastings and then we ate some dinner. Great day!

Wednesday: I woke up super tired this morning as usual haha. After our morning routine, we traveled to our area and did street contacting and found 3 new friends which is solid. Then we got some lunch and traveled up towards the chapel to eat and do our studies. We also texted a few people as well and we got a call from the office saying that we are going to be getting a car on next Wednesday the 20th so that got me stoked! And I'll be the one driving so it's gonna be a blast driving in England. And to finish out the day we had a Dinner appointment with a super fun family and it was just a great time!

Thursday: Oh boy today was pretty fantastic! When we got to Maidstone this morning we had a lesson with a recent convert and one of her friends at Burger King because that's where they wanted to meet us. Then we actually ate Burger King for lunch 😂 We had a good time and then we did some finding and called some of the former investigators' numbers that we had and also did a study. And we had a dinner appointment at our bishops house today and he lives kinda far away from the town so we had to take a nice 1 hour bus ride there but it was all good because the food was great and I enjoyed their family a lot. Then we just got a train to take us back home.

Friday: Today we had exchange with the zone leaders so we had to leave our flat at about 8:30 in order to make it to Woolwich on time. We then had a district finding blitz for 2 hours and went to eat KFC for lunch together. Also, me and Elder Hogg had the car today so that made things super great. We went to teach a few lessons and stop by some less active members until we met with a cook return missionary who bought us pizza for dinner and we had a great DA with him. Then we just went and taught one more lesson and traveled back home and had a little party as an 8 man flat again tonight. After 9 o clock of course! Haha but yeah it was a fun day and exchanges are always sweet, this one was no different!

Saturday: Wow there was a major lack of sleep last night. I woke up absolutely knackered. After we got everything packed up and we got ready to go we had to catch a train straight to Maidstone and we didn't get there until about 1 so we just grabbed some cheap sandwiches and went to the chapel to eat and do our comp study. But when we got there it turns out there was some type of stake relief society activity and so they offered us free food that we got to eat and we helped them clean things up as well. We also had a dinner appointment tonight with a great family from Argentina where we ate pizza and cheesecake. Today was a drag because I was so dead all day but it was still a good one nevertheless.

Sunday: Today was pretty great. We had to leave at about 8 in order to make it to church on time by train. And we had a great sacrament meeting and Sunday school as well. Afterward, we were able to go to a members house for lunch at about 2 and we had chicken and potatoes with Apple pie for dessert so that was pretty sweet. This family is from Latvia and we had a good time with them they are super nice people. By the time we got done and traveled back to the chapel we only had an hour before we had to leave for our train home so we just did our comp study and then traveled back. Nothing too exciting today except for the fact we had sun rain and snow all within an hour!

That's all from me this week I hope everybody is enjoying life with spring right around the corner. Thank you all for your support. I love each and every one of you!
