A New Companion and 5 Guys
It's been a crazy and exciting week. I have had a great time here in Maidstone and I love the area already. The members are super great and there's honestly not much to complain about at all!
Tuesday (March 5): Wow today was nuts! Woke up and made sure everything was ready to go and then we traveled to Hyde Park and I almost died with all my suitcases. My new companion is Elder Cavalcante from Setúbal, Portugal and he's such a sick guy.
Even though our area is Maidstone we have to live in Tunbridge Wells which is basically an hour train ride away and that's what we have to do every morning because there isn't a flat in Maidstone for us yet. It's an exciting time and I have no clue what's going to happen but I'm optimistic!
Wednesday: Today was great. It was the first day in our new area we did a lot of finding on the streets today but to be honest it was a little crazy because we hardly know anything about this area. We did find 2 new friends today though which was sweet, then we had a dinner appointment tonight with a super great family. I can tell this ward is really excited to have missionaries again!
Thursday: Wow today was wild and so much fun. 2 of the assistants traveled out to our area to do exchanges with us. It was a great time and we saw great success. 5 new friends today and we got to visit some active and less active members as well. We also got to meet our ward mission leader and the bishop and they got us pizza so that was so sick! It was a great day with great miracles!
Friday: It was a good day today. We had district meeting this morning which we had the zone leaders come to as well. Afterwards, we ate some lunch and proceeded to make our usual long travel to Maidstone where we were supposed to have 2 lessons but neither of them showed up. We decided to try a bit of online Proselyting today as well and stopped by some less active members. The weather was absolutely horrible today though, super windy and rainy. It made for lots of fun. But honestly serving with Elder Cavalcante is such a blast we have a lot of fun together.
Saturday: I woke up just so tired today for some reason like I was just dead, I got up and showered and then laid down on the couch and fell asleep for like 30 minutes. But it's all good I was able to overcome it and have a super great day! We had 5 guys for lunch and man I was in heaven it was just so good!
A little expensive but it was so worth it. We did some finding and contacted less actives as well and then had a dinner appointment with another awesome family and we had chicken fajitas. Let's just say we ate pretty well today!
Sunday: Wow today was so sweet and crazy at the same time haha. We had a friend who was planning on coming to church but she called us like halfway through sacrament meeting because she was lost so we had to go and find her like right before sacrament meeting ended and by the time we got to her and came back to church there was about 30 minutes left in the 2nd hour and so we decided the best thing to do was sit in relief society with her and that was a great time. Then we went to another super awesome family for lunch and the food was so good! Enchiladas and also cheesecake for dessert! Oh baby this whole week I ate so well. The rest of the day was just average but I had a super great day.
