Arrives in the Mission



Dear Brother & Sister Orchard,
We are pleased to let you know that your missionary, Elder Stockton Russell Orchard, has arrived in the England London Mission. He is happy to be here and is anxious to get to work.  We are excited to have him here with us and know that he will bless many lives as he serves.
Soon after he arrived we introduced him to his new companion, Elder Bryson O. Stoddard, who is a wonderful young man. They have been assigned to work in the Hasting area of England located in the Maidstone-Canterbury Zone.  I am attaching a picture of your missionary with Sister Checketts and me, and a picture of your missionary with Elder Stoddard.
As you know, missionaries greatly benefit from weekly emails from their families encouraging them in their work and expressing the family’s love and support for them.  They can respond to them once each week. Your emails will be very important to your missionary during his period of service.
We consider the physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being of our missionaries to be our top priority, and we do everything we can to make their time here a positive and faith promoting experience.  Elder Orchard is doing the work of the Lord and will be blessed by our Heavenly Father in countless ways for his selfless service.

He's Home!

There is nothing quite like that first hug in 2 years.  It is something you have to experience to completely understand.  I missed this boy so much.  Even though I got to video call with him weekly, there is nothing like being together, in person. Stockton's welcome home looked a lot different than we anticipated when he left.  Covid restrictions kept us from going inside the airport, we all wore masks and we didn't invite extended family.  But it didn't take the joy out of the moment we finally got to be with him!  It's a mom's (and a girlfriend's) dream come true. ♥️ We didn't get the best pictures because we were more concerned with video.  And, Mason was on picture duty.  He is still learning about angles and capturing that perfect moment! The Best Ending

What an amazing last week of my mission! There was a lot that went on this week but the most amazing thing of all was the fact that I was able to see 2 of our friends get baptized this weekend! You seriously could not even make up a better ending to my mission story than this. Julia and Lizzie, who we both taught because of the lockdown and the quarantine both made their first covenant with God this weekend and chose to be baptized. I can not express how full my heart is and how much gratitude I have for the blessings and for the goodness of God. I know that he is the one who prepared these precious souls and that we were just privileged to be an instrument in his hands to accomplish his will.   Well everyone, this is it. Tomorrow I will be flying home from my full time missionary service.
