Rubbish Weather

Me and my Japanese samurai Elder Hori Tuesday (January 22): Well today was the day that I had to say goodbye to Elder Stoddard. I have really grown to love him and it was seriously pretty sad to have to leave him. Also it was such a joy to travel around the underground train of London with heavy suitcases to help him out. My new companion is Elder Hori from Tokyo, Japan and he is an absolute legend. Actually he is in the same MTC group as Elder Stoddard which is pretty cool. We had a short little devotional at Hyde Park and also lunch before heading back to our areas. We arrived at about 4:30pm and basically get everything unpacked and set up and then did our studies for the day. Also it started snowing today for the first time I've seen it in England. None of it stuck but it was still so exciting! Today was super crazy and eventful and I'm looking forward to this transfer.   Wednesday: To be honest today was really tough. It was really just a big change going from ...

Transfers

Wow this week was crazy. And as the last week of the transfer we had the madness of moves and everything that comes with it on Sunday. You'll just have to read the email to find out what happened! Also this week has been miraculous because we had a dinner appointment every single day this week. In fact, we have one tonight and that makes 10 days in a row with dinner appointments so man we have truly been taken care of recently it's great.  Tuesday (Jan 15): This morning we had our flat check and we passed with a perfect score and also got brownies. then we headed to district meeting and that was awesome. On our way back we were getting to the train station to catch our usual train but turns out it was 50 minutes delayed so that really sucked because we just had to sit and wait for that train to take us home and man it was freezing.  Me waiting an hour in the cold for our delayed train By the time we finally got back we had to travel over to Bexhill in our area which ...

Trains, Service and Spaghettios

This week was super busy especially at the beginning of the week.  So it zoomed by super quick.  Honestly the only bad thing about this week is the fact I've been pretty sick. Tuesday (Jan 8): Wow we had to wake up at 5 this morning to get ready to leave our flat and get to our stake centre for a zone meeting we had. No zone conference but just a meeting with all the missionaries in our zone. It was a good time and I really enjoyed it but man I was tired the whole remainder of the day. We got KFC together before we all had to split up and catch a train back. When we got to Hastings we had a lesson and it went pretty well to be honest. Then we went to see Mohammed and he told us that he's moving to Reading for 2 months and then coming back so that was kinda sad. Then we finished off our day with ward counsel and it was awesome. Wednesday: This morning we had district meeting and also our exchange with the zone leaders for this transfer was today. I went on ex...

A Love for Studying

Before you read about my week I just want to let you all know that I'm thankful for each of you! Also as I write this email I am currently on a train to London and if you don't get a response from me just know I will respond on my way home around 5pm here which is like 10am for you guys in Utah. Thanks for the support and you guys are awesome. Hope everyone enjoyed 2 hour church yesterday! Monday (December 31): Last day of 2018 how nuts is that?! After shopping and getting a fresh trim from Mohammed we had some McDonald's for lunch and they took 20 minutes to get my food... that's McDonald's for ya. After we went to the chapel and did a little bit of emailing and then we had a New Years eve "party" which was actually more of a get together because there was about 10 people including us haha. Tuesday: It was an all out day of just finding. And boy there was almost nobody on the streets!  The dead streets of Hastings at 10:30 am on January 1st Espec...
