The Lord Always Provides

Image
The sunsets over the ocean are gorgeous! This week was pretty great. It was quite short though which was nice!   Thursday (December 27): To be honest I don't think it was too difficult to get back into the swing of things. We had district meeting this morning, then as we got back we had some lunch and hit the streets with no success as usual. We decided today that we want to get all of the Living Christ memorized by the end of January so we worked on that while we walked around and stuff. Not much to complain about today!   Friday: Wow it has been a struggle to find people to teach this week. We were able to do some service and help weed a flower bed as well as put some bark in the yard and then the lady we did it for made us some really good soup and we had some homemade bread that was delicious! When we got back we studied as usually and then went to see Mohammed and it was honestly really great. I've made good progress on the Living Christ. I have all the paragrap...

Christmas

This week was super great filled with lots of awesome experiences and Christmas!   Tuesday (December 18): Today felt forever long! The reason is because we started serving with Brother Hobbs at 7:30 This morning. So we got to work really early, we served with him until about 2 and we had pizza for lunch. Them we came back and did our studies and went to visit a less active member family and they have some kids that are absolutely insane! They wanted to feed so they ordered guess what... pizza! Haha it was tough to eat it all but you gotta do what you gotta do. Then we finished our day by coming up with the programs for Mohammed's baptism on Saturday!   Wednesday: Today was certainly a drag knowing the fact that I would be going to the temple tomorrow. For some reason I had weak in the knees stuck in my head all day lol. This morning we did some finding in the rain, and we taught a pretty cool guy named David. Tonight we didn't have any solid plans and then we got a text fr...

Not Too Shabby

Image
This week was not too shabby. It seemed like it took forever though since we are leading up to Christmas haha. But I had lots of cool experiences and in fact I had the privilege of taking part in 4 blessings this week. Its funny because I was thinking at the beginning of the week at how I'm surprised I haven't had to be part of any blessings yet and then the Lord just slapped us with them. The spirit is so strong in those moments and they truly are so powerful.   Me and Elder Stoddard slaying the work Tuesday (Dec 11): We were able to do service with Brother Hobbs again today which is always such a blast. It has been exciting to see the progress of his house and I can't wait for in a year or 2 when he finally finishes it to see how it looks. It will be so cool to always know that we helped him build that extension. Brother Hobbs knows how much I love sourdough bread and so he bought some for us to have with our lunch. He's a legend! Wednesday: This morning we tau...

Pretty Awesome Stuff

Image
Wow I can't believe it has already been 2 months. It has gone by so quickly! This week was pretty wild and there was lots of cool stuff and crazy stuff that happened. So I guess you'll just have to read and find out which is which!  Tuesday (Dec 4): Today we got a call in the morning from an older lady in our ward. We got to do some service for her and plant some flowers and rake some leave. Then she made us burgers for lunch and they were delicious. After lunch she asked us if we could build her a Christmas tree out of sticks and a thin rope and we said we would give it a shot. After a little bit of brainstorming we finally got it figured out! It was very time consuming but in the end I thought it turned out to look pretty dang good.  The tree we built for a member Then we had to travel up to Woolwich to the zone leaders flat tonight because there is a leadership counsel meeting tomorrow in London for all the zone and district leaders. So I will be on exchanges to...

December!

This week was definitely much better than last. Although I was a little bit sick but hey that happens sometimes. Here's the week in review:  Tuesday (Nov 27): We had a really great day of service with Brother Hobbs. We continued working on his house extensions all day even though it rained on us half the time. They got us lunch and made us dinner as well. For lunch they got us fish and chips which was the first time for me. I was actually able to manage to eat it and it wasn't extremely fishy so not too bad. I've also been pretty sick with a sore throat and Sister Hobbs bough me some medicine. It was actually kinda funny because I lost my voice today so I couldn't really talk at all. But Sister Hobbs is so awesome she really takes care of us and gives us food every week. I love the Hobbs family, they are probably my favorite members I have met on my mission so far.  Wednesday: In the middle of the night I fell off the bed at like 2am and it was super weird. Haha...
